I had a mixed experience at Highline Vail - A Doubletree By Hilton. The really good service from Leslie and Rolando truly elevated my stay, making my anniversary feel special. however, the room I was given was quite small and felt a bit musty. While the outdoor Jacuzzi was a highlight, I did find some issues with cleanliness and the resort's amenities that could use improvement.

Rooms
5.0
The room was rather cramped and musty, differing from my prior experiences at Doubletrees. It felt outdated, likely due to the hotel's previous incarnation as a Holiday Inn.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, with Leslie and Rolando going above and beyond to ensure my stay was nice.
Location
7.0
The location is decent, not far from Lionshead in Vail and with convenient access to the shuttle service for skiing.
Dining
8.0
Dining options were good, particularly at the hotel restaurant where the food was enjoyable, although dining could be tricky due to the high demand with external guests.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities like the outdoor Jacuzzi and ski storage were enjoyable, but some maintenance issues and understaffing during peak times were concerning.

5.2/10

I had a mostly positive experience during my stay at Highline Vail. The location was fantastic, providing easy access to the ski resorts, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, especially a front desk employee named Julian who went above and beyond to assist me. However, I encountered some issues such as a delayed check-in and a few maintenance concerns in my room, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Overall, it’s a nice hotel, but they could improve on some service aspects. 😊

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, but it had some damaged furniture, which was disappointing considering the price I paid. The lack of counter space in the bathroom was also a bit inconvenient.
Service
6.0
I experienced mixed service. While Julian provided really good assistance, my initial check-in was frustrating with long waits and minimal information from the staff.
Location
10.0
The location was perfect for my needs, allowing easy access to Vail Village and the ski resort, which was key for my trip.
Dining
6.0
The on-site dining options were decent, but I found the breakfast pricing to be a bit high for what was offered.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities like the pool and hot tub area were nice and well-maintained, providing a great way to relax after a day of skiing.

My stay at Highline Vail was pleasantly surprising. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the hotel offered great amenities like a pool and hot tub for relaxation after a long day. However, I was disappointed by the lack of daily room cleaning, which is something I usually appreciate during hotel stays. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd return. 🍪🏔️

Rooms
8.0
The room was comfortable and clean, though a bit smaller than expected for having two queen beds. The beautiful view made up for its size.
Service
9.0
Staff interactions were a highlight, especially with Summer at the front desk who provided valuable recommendations and made us feel welcomed.
Location
8.0
While not right in Vail Village, the location was convenient with a shuttle service to nearby areas and easy access to grocery stores and restaurants.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast service was lacking during my visit, with empty food stations that caused some disappointment, but I enjoyed the attached dining options overall.
Facilities
7.0
Great amenities like the pool and game room added significant value to my stay, but noise from outside and other guests affected my comfort.

6.8/10

My stay at Highline Vail was a mixed experience. I loved the stunning views and the cleanliness of the hotel, but the issues with the room really impacted my comfort. The lobby was nice, and the staff were friendly, but the lack of attention to room maintenance made it hard to enjoy my stay fully.

Rooms
5.0
I was disappointed with my room. While it was spacious and had a full kitchen, the overall cleanliness and maintenance issues were hard to overlook. The carpets were stained, and I even found a cheese stick on the counter. The shower had low water pressure, and the bathroom had some unpleasant smells.
Service
5.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which definitely added a positive note to my stay. Unfortunately, they mentioned being short-staffed, which may have contributed to the issues I experienced with room service.
Location
5.0
Located on the outskirts of Vail, the hotel required a short drive to reach the village, but I appreciated the quieter atmosphere. The complimentary shuttle was a great convenience, making transport into town easy.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were somewhat limited, especially considering that breakfast was pretty basic and charged at a high rate for non-members. I was hoping for a more substantial dining experience given the hotel's quality.
Facilities
5.0
The lobby and amenities like the pool and hot tub were nice features of the hotel. However, the laundry facilities only accepted quarters, and there was no change available at the front desk, which was inconvenient.

I had a great time at Highline Vail during the busy Christmas week. The hotel has been impressively remodeled, and the service was excellent. However, I was disappointed by the lack of diamond upgrade for my room and the missing signature chocolate chip cookies. The shuttle service was fantastic, but I did find some discrepancies with dining prices.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were newly furnished and comfortable, but I wished for a better view instead of just a roof. My stay was in a nice room, but I noticed others seemed to have better upgrades available. Overall, while the decor was nice, I think the room quality still has some room for improvement.
Service
8.0
Service was great, with friendly staff interactions that made my stay more enjoyable. The shuttle drivers were particularly attentive, which enhanced my experience getting around. However, I did see some inconsistencies with attention when I expressed a desire for a room upgrade.
Location
9.0
Highline Vail is conveniently located close to various food spots and just a short shuttle ride from the ski resorts. It’s a bit away from the hustle of Vail Village, which made returning to the hotel feel serene after a day on the slopes.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were good overall, with high-quality food at the attached restaurant, although I found the pricing somewhat awkward compared to the website listing. I missed having the complimentary cookies I’ve come to expect, which added a layer of disappointment to the culinary experience.
Facilities
8.0
I appreciated the continuous shuttle service that ran from morning until night. Facilities like the pool and hot tub provided a great way to unwind after skiing, but I felt some amenities could use a bit more updating to match the hotel’s overall polished aesthetic.
